Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, employees, and/or contractors entering the location by checking identification, verifying access authorization, and inspecting bags, packages, and/or personal items according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas, help to deter unauthorized access, and document daily activities, observations, and/or screening results in required logs and reports.
