Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the retail environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related threats and/or suspicious activities.
Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols and access control duties.
Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence at all times.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and client representatives to communicate site-specific concerns and/or updates as needed.
