As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post at a retail distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout your shift. You will also provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, reflecting our commitment to putting people first and delivering results through teamwork and integrity in a dynamic retail environment.

Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site contacts to support security-related operations at the retail distribution location.
