As an Access Control Officer at a large distribution center location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This position requires driving as part of your duties. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the distribution center environment.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential issues.
  • Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or suspicious behavior observed during patrols and access control duties.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and contractors by providing guidance on site policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment within the retail distribution center.
