About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in East Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support access activities, deliver outstanding customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Requirements

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the industrial location, including production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter zones.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Document routine activities, unusual conditions, and/or maintenance or operational concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
