About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will help manage access control, verify credentials, and support site entry procedures while providing exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in job state. In this role, you will represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team, putting people first and acting with integrity in all security-related interactions.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Candidates must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures and regulatory expectations for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and access control points, with attention to changing conditions across the site.
