About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading financial institution where you will manage access control, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and routine patrols. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, document activity, and respond to concerns with integrity and teamwork. This is an armed and driving post, and you will be expected to meet licensing and driver policy requirements.

Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and document unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, evacuations, and/or other emergency communications as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, while reporting observations promptly.
