About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Catawba, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will focus on access control, monitoring entry points, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Primarily driving post is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials and logging visitors as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal and site management.
  • Assist with enforcing site rules and regulations related to access control and visitor management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and other security-related events.
