About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Desk in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a premier financial services location, you will maintain a professional presence, greet visitors, manage access, and support security-related operations with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at the front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor lobby and reception area activity, manage access control processes, verify credentials, and document visitor information in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Answer phones, greet guests, provide directions, and support front desk operations while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns within a financial services location.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and incident documentation, and report maintenance issues, access concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
