About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Credential Verification in Duluth, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor access, and communicating professionally with residents, guests, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and document activity using computer or tablet tools. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with residential community procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift communications while providing a professional presence at the residential location.
