As a Security Officer Access Control Console in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted production, warehouse, and administrative areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Document visitor activity, deliveries, and security-related incidents through logs and reports, noting relevant details for follow-up by site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, buildings, and perimeter areas, observing for maintenance concerns, policy violations, and conditions that may require response.
