As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within an automotive-focused location. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, being a visible presence, and utilizing technology to support access control procedures. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to and from the location, verifying credentials and permissions of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or security-related issues observed during shifts.
  • Work closely with client staff and visitors to address inquiries, provide assistance, and help to maintain a secure environment.
  • Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management and/or client representatives, adapting to changing needs of the location.
