As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at an automotive location, you will monitor entry points and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, interact with visitors and employees, and deliver outstanding customer service. By supporting a secure environment, you will play a key role in upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the auto industry location.
  • Control access to the premises by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the facility.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access or activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Communicate with site personnel and visitors in a professional manner, addressing questions and/or concerns as appropriate.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures.
