About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control and Patrol Driver in Waynesboro, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations through strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document entries, exits, and restricted area activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observed concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized access to production, warehouse, and receiving areas.
  • Support visitor management and contractor check-in processes, including directing guests, maintaining required logs, and reporting policy violations or operational concerns.
