As a Security Officer Access Badge Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government transit location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, public access areas, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist visitors and staff with directions and information, and/or help support orderly movement throughout the location.
  • Communicate with site personnel, the public, and/or first responders regarding security-related matters, disturbances, hazards, and/or transportation-related disruptions.
