About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Verification in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecom location, where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and support day-to-day security-related operations. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic business location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in line with access control protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by location.
