About The Position

As a Security Officer - Badge Access Control in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech, media, or telecom location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues.
Support daily operations by maintaining accurate access records, communicating clearly with site contacts, and providing guidance on entry procedures and facility rules.
