About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Badge Coordinator in Weehawken, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, supporting access control, monitoring visitor activity, and handling security-related communications with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial office location.
  • Monitor front desk activity, manage visitor access processes, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry in accordance with site protocols.
  • Answer phones, greet guests, direct deliveries, and support lobby operations while maintaining accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with building management, tenants, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Observe lobby and entrance activity, report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns, and support a professional atmosphere for everyone entering the location.
