Requirements
- Possess a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances, check identification, and ensure only authorized individuals enter designated areas
- Provide directions, answer questions, and assist employees and visitors within assigned buildings
- Check doors, lighting, equipment, and building conditions to identify hazards or unauthorized activity
- Contact emergency services, administer first aid, and support safety procedures during critical situations
- Observe and log vehicles entering the Capitol truck roadway and conduct visual and hand wand inspections
- Verify the security of sensitive storage areas and report fire or safety hazards to proper authorities
