About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead security operations at a prestigious educational institution in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a proven leader with strong management experience, exceptional client service skills, and the ability to develop and maintain high-performing teams. The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations and services provided to the assigned account. This position serves as the primary client contact, ensuring operational excellence, superior customer service, workforce development, and contract compliance. The successful candidate will provide leadership to supervisory staff, manage day-to-day security operations, oversee staffing and scheduling, support business objectives, and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation and communication method.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background investigation and pre-employment screening process.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree or higher.
  • Experience in security management, operations management, business management, or related leadership roles.
  • Experience working in an educational, healthcare, insurance, or similarly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of workforce management, scheduling, employee relations, and client service.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client representatives and maintain outstanding customer service.
  • Conduct regular meetings with client leadership to review service performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and retention of security personnel.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in budget administration and the management of operational expenses.
  • Oversee payroll, inventory, equipment, uniforms, vehicles, and related operational resources.
  • Conduct post inspections and evaluate security personnel performance.
  • Review and update post orders and site-specific procedures.
  • Support incident response and provide leadership during emergencies.
  • Assist in resolving operational, legal, administrative, and human resources issues.
  • Ensure effective communication between the client, security staff, and Securitas leadership.
