About The Position

Gloucester Terminals is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to fill an Overnight Security Manager role. In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all security operations during your assigned shift. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has prior security experience, and brings supervisory or management experience to the team.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) by start date
• Ability to enforce security and safety protocols that maintain a safe, secure workplace
• Ability to identify and resolve situations that deviate from standard procedures

Nice To Haves

• Prior security experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor the facility for irregular or unusual conditions that may pose security concerns or safety hazards
• Operate 2-way radios, telephones, and computers to maintain clear and timely communication
• Sound alarms and contact police or fire departments in response to emergencies or unauthorized access
• Warn individuals of rule infractions, including trespassing, and de-escalate tensions as needed
• Control access by permitting authorized personnel to enter the property and monitoring all entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure the authorized removal of company property complies with client requirements
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities, and prepare detailed written reports
• Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers, employees, and visitors
