About The Position

The Security Manager is responsible for assisting with the direction and management of Security Department personnel; and providing security to company assets and properties as well as the safety of guests, vendors, and employees of Resorts World Casino New York City. Essential Duties/Core Competencies Direct and supervise the Security Floor Managers, determines work priorities, schedules work assignments, interviews and recommends candidate; evaluates and trains personnel. Assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the security operations and the coordination of its programs with other departments. Use computerized report management system (IVIEW) to maintain inputs, updates, and report management. Review and approve all departmental reporting. Ensure security management employees are trained to work safely and efficiently within current regulatory guidelines as well as maintain guest service at high levels at all times. Assist with updating and maintaining departmental handbook. Create and monitor the departmental budget. Analyze facts in a given situation and arrives at conclusions. Use good judgment to evaluate and respond to incidents faced by the security department on a daily basis. Develop protocols to meet the department goals. Oversee the property inspection tours program. Respond quickly and calmly in an emergency situation. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve the operations of Security. Supervise subordinate security professionals, performing activities such as hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and administers disciplinary actions. Work with other law enforcement agencies. Assist Director of Security in maintaining operations and makes decisions in his absence. Read and respond to emails daily. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or closely related field AND two (2) years’ experience in a Supervisory position OR Four (4) years’ experience in a Management position OR Two (2) years’ experience in a Supervisory position within Resorts World
  • Six (6) years’ related work experience in a Security setting required
  • Demonstrated a working knowledge of state gaming regulations pertaining to casino operations
  • Must have working knowledge of Surveillance video system and how chain of evidence is maintained.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain: a New York Security Officer License. a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Attend Fire Safety and NYS Guard Instructor courses.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals and other related documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other Team Members or guests.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to compute complex mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Four (4) years’ related experience in Casino Security setting preferred
