About The Position

Provide management coverage as Manager On Duty (MOD) for Afternoon/Evening Security and Garage Operations in a Historic facility to ensure the safety, security and well-being of members, guests, employees and the Club’s assets. Will develop and oversee Security/Garage staff scheduling, assignments and nightly operations; Create and implement department standards and procedures according to the Detroit Athletic Club Consistent Performance Process (CPP) training and development program. Will serve as Incident Commander and lead others in all emergency operations.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum 2 years experience in the supervising 5-15 employees.
  • Must have a minimum combination of 3 Years Security/Law Enforcement Experience and Education.
  • Must have good vision and be able to use extremities to: lift, bend, squat, walk, run, stand in- doors or out-doors for extended periods of time.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Must be detail orientated.
  • Able to learn in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in standard accounting principles, related to budgeting, labor management, retail cash management etc.
  • Must have strong administrative/typing skills including an Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Word, Excell and Power Point.
  • Must have or be able to acquire/maintain certifications to train –AED CPR and First Aid with in 6 months of hire.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift to conduct internal investigations relating to sensitive security issues.
  • Must have a valid Michigan Drivers License.
  • Must submit to a Physical, Drug Screen and Background Investigation.

  • Associates Degree or Bachelors in Criminal Justice or Business Administration.

  • CCTV Principles and Application.
  • First Responder Training.
  • Experience in Criminal Investigations.
  • Paramedic Trained.
  • Traffic, Parking, Garage or Transportation Management.

Responsibilities

  • Document and Investigate All Incidents including but not limited to: loss, injury, theft etc.
  • Provide a nightly operations report to the Security Director.
  • Use Incident Report Software to Track and Report on all incident reports.
  • Assist with the development and Implementation the Night Management all Club Emergency and Security Measures.
  • Enforce all rules and regulations of Club that govern employees.
  • Respond to emergency and fire alarms.
  • Administer C.P.R., AED and first aid if necessary.
  • Supervise parking lots and parking structure; prevent unauthorized vehicles and people from using these areas.
  • Check and follow up on daily logs of all security staff activities.
  • Monitor security cameras and document suspicious activity.
  • Enforce weekend/After Hours member/visitor sign-in program.
  • Assist the Director of Security with the implementation and up keep of company security and safety programs.
  • Assist in oversight of contract guard services for special events.
  • Any other duties as directed.
