About The Position

The Security Manager supports Hyve’s physical security, incident response, investigations, asset protection, and operational risk programs at its Tracy, California location. The role oversees a contracted guard force, leads strategic security initiatives, ensures compliance with internal and external standards, and protects people, facilities, assets, and operations. The position covers physical security and asset protection across facilities, including access control, surveillance, perimeter protection, guard force operations, asset management, penetration testing, security risk analysis, facility vulnerability assessments, counter-terrorism measures, and threat mitigation. It also directs incident response and investigations; supports security intelligence, crisis management, and risk forecasting; manages audits, documentation, reporting, and metrics; and develops security training and emergency preparedness exercises. The Security Manager builds relationships with vendors, suppliers, partners, and internal business functions, and provides people leadership, including performance reviews and goal-setting where applicable. Travel between business locations by car and movement through manufacturing and operational facilities may be required for assessments, site visits, audits, project management, and inspections. Requirements

8–12+ years of experience in physical security, corporate security, law enforcement, military, or related fields.
Experience in supply chain and transportation security.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex security operations.
Strong knowledge of physical security systems, incident response, investigations, and risk management.
Experience with crisis management, business continuity, and emergency response.
Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in high-pressure environments and lead during crises.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in security management, criminal justice, emergency management, or equivalent experience in a related field.
Professional certifications such as CSMP, CPP, PSP, CISSP, CFE, or similar.
Experience in global operations or multi-site environments.
Background in intelligence analysis, counter-terrorism, or advanced investigations.
Experience in supply chain security and/or a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, TAPA, SOC 2, OSHA, DHS, or NIST.

Responsibilities

Oversee physical security programs across facilities, including access control, surveillance, perimeter protection, and contracted guard force operations.
Lead asset management and protection strategies to reduce loss, theft, and misuse of company property.
Conduct and oversee penetration testing, security risk analysis, and facility vulnerability assessments.
Develop and maintain counter-terrorism measures, threat mitigation plans, and protective design standards for facilities.
Direct responses to security incidents, ensuring timely escalation, documentation, and resolution.
Lead internal investigations involving theft, misconduct, workplace violence, fraud, or policy violations.
Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and external partners as required.
Support the US West and company security intelligence program, including threat monitoring, geopolitical analysis, and risk forecasting.
Maintain crisis management frameworks and serve as a key leader during critical events.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
Manage security audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain documentation, reporting, and metrics for executive leadership and audit committees.
Develop and deliver security training programs for employees, leadership, and specialized teams.
Oversee drills, tabletop exercises, and readiness assessments for crisis response and emergency procedures.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, partners, and internal business functions.
Conduct performance reviews where applicable, set goals, and build a high-performance culture.
Travel between business locations and move throughout manufacturing and operational facilities to conduct security assessments, site visits, audits, project management activities, and inspections.
Support the Senior Manager in other aspects as required.
