Requirements

  • Maintain and support DoD and Air Force computing systems, both unclassified and classified.
  • Obtain/maintain classified systems administrative privileges for SIPRNet and other systems.
  • Perform system trusted downloads, update system patches, and implement system vulnerability mitigations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Windows Operating Systems, NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and DoD Cybersecurity.
  • Provide multi-discipline expertise covering project management, system security engineering, system administration, and network administration.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable Security Directives and regulations, such as DoDI 8500.01, RMF for DoD IT, and NIST 800-53.
  • Support cybersecurity activities for assigned systems, including A&A processes, vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and security impact assessments.
  • Assist in managing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of security requirements for weapon systems.
  • Support cybersecurity site audits, software security analyses, and Software Assurance (SWA) activities.
  • Provide technical assistance for Radio Cryptographic Modernization and Crypto Modernization programs.
  • Perform cybersecurity strategy tasks related to DoD and Air Force acquisition and rapid acquisition activities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for capability development planning and rapid acquisition activities.
  • Offer technical expertise for evaluating non-traditional products or technologies in DoD weapon systems acquisition programs.
  • Maintain appropriate baseline certification and continuing education in accordance with the Cyber Workforce Management Program (DoDD 8149.01 & DoD 8149.01m).
  • Obtain/maintain necessary security clearances as required.
  • Possess expertise in Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Information Assurance Manager (IAM), Information Assurance System Architects and Engineering (IASAE), or Cyber Security Services Provider (CSSP) roles and Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, Acquisition Security, Personnel Security, Information Protection (IP), Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), and Operations Security (OPSEC), COMSEC, Foreign Military Sales Security, support during the capabilities planning/pre-acquisition, acquisition, development, production and sustainment phases of various equipment and weapon systems within the framework of the defense acquisition management system.
  • Participate on IPTs and related activities, analyze problems, define alternative solutions, provide recommendations, write reports, and accomplish specifically assigned work as defined in individual tasks orders.
  • Conduct security site surveys for Enhanced End Use Monitoring (EEUM), which may require foreign travel and interaction with foreign customers.
  • Provide administrative, acquisition security, IP, anti-terrorism/force protection, and OPSEC, COMSEC assistance during the capabilities planning/pre-acquisition, acquisition, development, production and sustainment phases of various equipment and weapon systems within the framework of the defense acquisition management system.
  • Assist in maintaining secure facilities and respond to alarms of government facilities in accordance with Air Force requirements and directorate OIs.
  • Act as an advisor to senior program leaders and their management staff on information protection, program protection, personnel, and industrial security matters.
  • Assist with receiving classified materials and securing as appropriate.
  • Assist with executing the annual special security self-inspection program; developing and updating required internal security processes and standard operating instructions relative to security and to ensure they are executed throughout the Directorate programs.
  • Assist in the processing of each military, civilian, and Contractor individual assigned directorates into their organization through JPAS.
  • Perform a wide range of program security management activities, such as information, physical, operational, and personnel security.
