About The Position

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The prestigious designation is the highest credential a health care organization can receive for nursing excellence and quality patient care. The Facilities Services Department provides security, telecommunications, housekeeping, maintenance and engineering services for the campus. The various departments work in partnership to ensure the campus, including all of its buildings, parking lots/garages, patient care and common areas are well maintained, clean, attractive, and secure.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
2-5 years of experience
Applicable govt regulations
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Valid Driver's License
IAHSS
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
PPCT
PD - PSAL- Where Applicable
Must have a minimum of 2 years of relative experience in Security/Investigations
Must be willing to attend BJC Public Safety training academy - 6:30 am - 3 pm - 4 weeks

ASP Baton Certification

Responsibilities

Individuals must be 21 years or older to work in this position.
Completes in-depth investigations and security surveys.
Provides training to the security department on topics assigned by the manager.
Develops training materials regarding security specific topics for various audiences.
Ensures equipment issued and used during the execution of duties is properly maintained.
