At Equifax, the 12-week Global Security Internship Program (May 17-Aug 6, 2027) is a gateway to full-time career paths for current university students. The program not only presents meaningful projects with direct impact on our business, but also provides exposure to senior leaders and opportunities to network. This position is based out of our Alpharetta, Georgia office. We believe great things happen when teams connect. Our schedule is built around 4 days of high-impact, in-office collaboration (Monday–Thursday), paired with Friday Flexibility to wrap up your week remotely. This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support. This position is not open to third-party vendors or C2C. In person interviews are required.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR Cyber Security
  • An expected graduation date of May 2028

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to and knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Django, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, Java, C#, Go, and Perl (GitHub).
  • Experience with security tools
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies - Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Azure.
  • Background in mathematics and theoretical computer science.
  • Strong analytical, structured problem solving, and decision making abilities.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently as needed.
  • Ability to adapt to quickly changing project requirements and feedback.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support architectural design and project execution by assisting senior team members with research and documentation.
  • Contribute to security documentation, helping maintain standards, policies, and architectural patterns.
  • Research emerging security technologies and methodologies to support architectural decision-making.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to observe how security is integrated by design throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Assist in assessing existing architectural designs to identify potential risks and documentation improvements.
  • Document technical designs and architectural findings, sharing observations with the team to support consistency and best practices.
