About The Position

The Security Install Supervisor has full management responsibility for employees, installation operations, and job performance within the security installation department. This role oversees technicians, scheduling, workforce performance, customer satisfaction, and operational results for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems. The Supervisor is responsible for hiring, discipline, performance management, directing work, approving timecards, and ensuring installation quality and compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as a fire and life safety leader or above.
  • Must have at least 7+ years experience in a supervisory role.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
  • Strong expertise in intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
  • Proven leadership experience managing employees, installation operations, and workforce performance.
  • Experience using service management or inspection software platforms (e.g., inspection reporting tools, work order systems, mobile field service applications).
  • Proficiency with computers and common business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to learn and effectively use company-specific systems for scheduling, reporting, and workforce management.

Nice To Haves

  • NICET Level II or above preferred.
  • Manufacturer certifications in security, access control, video surveillance, or integrated low-voltage systems preferred.
  • Experience managing commercial security installation teams and multi-site operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full management oversight for security installation employees, daily operations, and job performance.
  • Supervise installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities for intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
  • Direct workforce scheduling, technician assignments, and job prioritization to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Manage employee hiring, onboarding, training, discipline, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Approve timecards, manage labor productivity, and monitor workforce performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, customer requirements, and company safety procedures.
  • Support technicians and field leaders with operational guidance and technical escalation as needed.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and resolve escalated installation concerns professionally.
  • Coordinate with branch leadership, project managers, and customers regarding installation operations and workforce planning.
  • Review installation documentation, inspection reports, work orders, and operational reporting for accuracy and completeness.
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment as needed to support field teams in exceptional situations.
  • Travel to job sites as required.
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
