About The Position

As a part-time Security Guard in Lake City, Florida, you will help safeguard clients in a correctional setting. In the Screener role, you will screen individuals, visitors, and permitted items; monitor access points; and report security-related concerns. You will support daily operations through a professional presence and clear communication while providing respectful service. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.75 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state and local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Screen individuals, visitors, and permitted items.
• Monitor access points and report security-related concerns.
