About The Position

A.S.P. Incorporated has provided security and customer service solutions for over 25 years to Canadian clients, employing more than 1,300 employees and operating as a subsidiary of ICTS Europe. The company offers services including security, customer service, K9 detection, concierge, and baggage handling to various clients such as residential properties, commercial facilities, retail spaces, and major Canadian airports. ASP is seeking Security Guards for Halton Region’s headquarters, corporate properties, and other locations, with both static and casual roles available. Candidates should have previous security experience and be capable of providing highly visible, professional, competent, and courteous service, demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills. The Security Guard is responsible for securing and protecting clients, guests, vendors, and the Region’s properties with integrity and awareness. The role involves providing effective Concierge Security Services, maintaining company policies and procedures, and possessing an above-average knowledge of Residential and Commercial Security specifics.

Requirements

  • Must maintain valid Ontario Security Guard License and must maintain the license for the duration of employment
  • Must be physically capable of walking at a brisk pace when required, interchanging between sitting/standing/walking frequently, lifting up to 20.5 pounds, climbing stairs, and sufficiently seeing and hearing your surroundings
  • Must demonstrate native or advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
  • Must be able to produce documents in Microsoft Word, send and receive e-mails at time of posting.
  • Must successfully complete all required courses and training
  • Have solid report writing skills

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of one year relevant security experience is preferred
  • Security experience in residential or commercial security industry is preferred but not necessary.
  • Possessing valid Ontario Driver's License (G2 / G) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Enforcement of all Post Orders and Regulations of site
  • Maintain order using tactical communication and emergency communications via Radio, computer, and phone use
  • Operate mission essential security equipment and Security Control Room Operations
  • Access control operations
  • Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms and other alarms of various natures, detection, and prevention of vandalism, loitering and other illicit activities
  • Addressing to Deliveries & parcels
  • Maintaining Highest level of Customer Service at every step
  • Effectively write reports documenting shift occurrences
