As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Inspection in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, residents, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and security-related emergency response activities at a government services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, perimeter locations, and parking areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization, maintain required logs, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate locations or services.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions, hazards, property damage, or policy violations to site management and/or appropriate public-service personnel.
