About The Position

This role involves patrolling grounds and buildings, monitoring surveillance, and ensuring property security. The Security Guard will respond to suspicious activity, assist with scale house duties, participate in emergency response, and conduct drug/alcohol tests and radiation detector checks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Physically able to stand or sit for long periods.
• Physically able to detain an individual if necessary.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the grounds or buildings as assigned, regularly.
• Refer suspicious activity to local authorities.
• Review surveillance cameras and monitor employees, contractors, or visitors.
• Establish and review identification requirements for site entry.
• Verify all doors, windows, and gates are secure on the property on a rotating schedule.
• Escort released employees or trespassers off the property.
• Respond to alerts of suspicious activity.
• Secure the environment and person if under suspicion of criminal activity, and report to local authorities.
• Assist with inbound and outbound Scale House duties.
• Participate as an active member on the Emergency Response Team.
• Perform alcohol and drug screen tests.
• Conduct daily checks of the in-bound radiation detector.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
