Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or clinicians by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral health concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain communication with supervisors, healthcare staff, and local emergency responders when needed.
