About The Position

GardaWorld is seeking to hire a Casual Security Guard at our Vale – Long Harbour site. As this is a position of trust, all candidates must successfully meet strict screening, compliance, and site security requirements. This role requires adaptability and the ability to thrive in dynamic situations.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract (must be obtained from Motor Registration)
High School Diploma
Strong communication and report writing skills
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to read and write reports clearly and accurately
Be authorized to work in Canada
No prior criminal convictions or history of offences
Must obtain a Certificate of Conduct from both Court and Police
Must be willing to undergo Drug and Alcohol testing (if selected)
Must be able to work rotational shifts (days and nights)

Nice To Haves

Previous security experience preferred
Completion of a recognized security course is an asset

Responsibilities

Conduct vehicle searches as required
Monitor and control site access and security operations
Complete detailed and accurate reports
Remain available and flexible for shift coverage as needed
Stand and patrol for extended periods
Work collaboratively with team members and site personnel
Act as Team Lead when required, including supervising staff, making decisions, and ensuring site protocols are followed
