About The Position

Parkwest Casino is bringing a fresh face to the casino industry and is looking to hire a security guard to help aid in the creation of this new casino culture. Our Security Guards are responsible for providing a safe environment by ensuring the security of the casino, employees and the guests. A successful Security Guard will possess keen observation skills and understand the basic card room games while demonstrating a high level of customer service to various personality types from multiple cultures.

Requirements

High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
Open availability.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
Must possess a valid California Guard Card.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.
Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background and credit check.
Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to sit, walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.

Operating a surveillance system quickly and effectively.
Writing an accurate detailed report.
Counting chips with a limited number of mistakes.
Providing excellent guest service.
