About The Position

The mission of the IAC is to build an engaged and united Israeli-American community that strengthens our next generations, the American Jewish community and the State of Israel. The IAC Security Guard's primary responsibility will be to secure and guard at the IAC Shepher Community Center. This is a 20 hours-per-week position, working in the afternoons and evenings. The IAC Security Guard will report to the IAC Shepher Community Center Sr. Manager.

Requirements

• Prior related job experience
• Must have an Active Guard Card
• Must have a Permit for an Exposed Firearm
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified
• Proactive and energetic attitude
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent and skilled in spoken and written English

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Hebrew

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance equipment during shift
• Conduct perimeter checks throughout the day
• Inspect building equipment and access points
• Permitting entry
• Restraining trespassers
• Controls traffic by directing drivers
• Completing visitor log paperwork
• Able to control situations in a stressed environment
• Professionally represent the IAC and provide excellent service
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Perform other duties as required and assigned
