About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Mascoutah, Illinois. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting a controlled environment, and providing customer service and communication. The position pays $29.50 per hour and is scheduled Monday and Tuesday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Handcuffing certification is preferred.
Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, restricted areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access activity and support visitor, employee, and contractor entry processes according to site requirements.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
