Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe daily activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, support orderly operations, and document security-related concerns in written reports.
• Assist with de-escalation, directions, and general assistance while maintaining a visible presence and following post orders, client procedures, and Allied Universal standards.
