About The Position

The Security Guard reports to the Security Guard Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring that location Post Orders are completed daily. This role involves monitoring plant activity, conducting hourly rounds to check trailer and room temperatures, and gates. The Security Guard will also monitor all associates and car traffic entering and exiting the building, operate weight master scales for weighing trailers, answer the switchboard after hours, and handle billing loads. Additional duties include following and implementing company policies, operating company-owned vehicles, and inspecting trailers for cleanliness and operability, as well as receiving shipments of supplies and raw materials.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write and speak in English
• Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather conditions, and up/down stairs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
• Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively under stress
• Attention to detail
• Professional attitude
• Ability to work any shift
• Minimum High School diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• Strong computer skills preferred
• Security experience a plus

Responsibilities
