About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients in industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The role pays $22.50 per hour. Available workdays are Monday through Sunday, with morning and overnight shifts available. Applicants must have all training certificates and an active California Guard Card.

Working environments and conditions may vary by client site. Candidates must meet the stated age and education or experience criteria and are subject to a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to applicable state and local laws; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Must have all training certificates and an active California Guard Card.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
