Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and innovation while working as part of a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or operational issues according to site guidelines.
  • Support utility location operations by observing sensitive equipment areas, reporting hazards, outages, and/or infrastructure concerns, and following post orders for restricted and critical areas.
