Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, commuters, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout platforms, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor activity on the property and document observations, incidents, and/or policy violations in a timely manner according to post orders and reporting guidelines.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, crowd management, and direction of foot traffic during service disruptions, special events, and/or other high-traffic periods.
