Security Guard - South Hill Mall
About The Position
A Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and controlling access points. They deter criminal activity and unauthorized entry by maintaining a visible presence and enforcing established security protocols. This role involves responding to alarms and incidents, providing assistance to visitors and staff, and documenting observations and activities in detailed reports. Security Guards must remain vigilant, possess strong observational skills, and be able to react quickly and appropriately in potentially challenging situations.
Requirements
- Effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Clean criminal background and be able to pass drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the safety and security of the facility, including staff, tenants and guests.
- Provide a high level of customer service to clients and patrons.
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily documentation
