About The Position

Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Now Hiring: Clinic Safety Liaison (Security Guard) Our Team: Gifford Street Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in New Bedford, MA, is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers—the nation's leader in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. We provide a continuum of care that includes Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and mobile treatment units. Our approach to holistic addiction care extends beyond clinical treatment, incorporating recovery coaching , community outreach and partnerships to ensure patients receive comprehensive, patient-centered support. Per Diem Hours: Primarily weekends with some weekdays, as needed: Saturday: 5:30 AM - 12:30 PM Sunday: 5:30 AM - 8:30 AM Monday - Friday: 5:30 AM - 1:00 PM Transforming Lives with Community & Compassion: With 14 outpatient opioid treatment programs (OTPs) across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, we’re breaking down barriers to care and supporting long-term recovery. Our CTC clinics partner with nursing homes, justice systems, and community groups to provide holistic, patient-centered care. Your Job as a Clinic Safety Liaison (Security Guard): The Clinic Safety Liaison/Security Guard is responsible for monitoring persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving the Clinic property. The Clinic Safety Liaison/Security Guard provides support to ensure a safe environment, is responsible for communicating all concerns to their supervisor, takes a lead role for various light maintenance and environmental services duties at the Clinic, and performs routine safety inspection of Clinic monitoring devices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Must be comfortable with working in an opioid treatment program/recovery environment

Nice To Haves

  • Two years’ experience in security, corrections, or military is preferred
  • Experience working in a healthcare or patient/customer facing setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists, direct and monitors all persons entering and leaving the Clinic property, including emergency vehicles and personnel
  • Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times
  • Monitors parking area (at minimum of twice per hour) and lobby to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place; reporting all concerns to director immediately
  • Keeps accurate notes reporting within various systems as outlined by Clinic standards
  • Communicates regarding incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff
  • Performs light maintenance duties and repairs; including touch-up painting, emptying and picking up trash, changing light bulbs, cleaning spills and various repairs
  • Performs regular safety checks, including smoke detectors, locked doors, alarm systems, etc
  • May perform other duties as assigned
