As an Unarmed Security Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment through routine patrols, access monitoring, and outstanding guest service. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will communicate professionally, help identify security-related concerns, and support a positive experience for guests and staff while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to hotel and resort guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking locations, common spaces, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe site activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with hotel staff, guests, and Allied Universal leadership.
