Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Patrol Readiness
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Guard for a technology location in Plano, Texas. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. The officer follows site-specific procedures and policies, responds to incidents and alarms, documents observations, and communicates with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership. The position is scheduled Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $18.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using a computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Access control and badge experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access concerns or policy violations.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and complete required reports.
- Maintain a professional presence and communicate clearly with site personnel, guests, and Allied Universal leadership.
