About The Position
As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Documentation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government-operated shelter location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, exits, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and maintaining awareness of individuals entering and leaving the location.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and shift documentation, and communicate relevant observations to supervisors and site representatives.
