About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring Security Guards for Caterpillar. Security Officers safeguard clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate. The role includes responding calmly to incidents and critical situations and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. Open interviews are held Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 7700 N. Harker Dr., Suite C, Peoria, IL 61614. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• EMT certification.
• Basic Operation Firefighter (BOFF) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
