About The Position

As a Security Guard Full Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed driving patrol professional in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication and exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess at least six months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and help support authorized entry procedures for clinical, administrative, and public areas.
• Complete accurate activity, incident, and shift reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
