About The Position

Our Security Guards help create a safe, calm environment where residents can feel secure in their daily lives. They monitor access points, respond quickly to emergencies, and help prevent potential safety risks before they escalate. Beyond physical security, they often serve as a reassuring, visible presence who residents and families can trust. Requirements

• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent and must be able to acquire sufficient knowledge and learn new skills through on-the-job training and instructions to satisfactorily meet job performance requirements.
• A team player and have passion to serve the elderly!

Responsibilities

• Performs routine patrols of the community; including but not limited to, buildings, grounds, surrounding areas and resident units.
• Monitors community activity visually and through provided surveillance tools and equipment.
• Completes through and fact- based security and/or incident reports, as necessary.
• Manages after-hour entry and exits onto the campus and community buildings. Secures gates, doors, and other access points as required by departmental policy.
• Responds to alarms, pull cords and other alerts and notifications in a timely manner. Coordinates arrival of, and directs, emergency vehicles to the correct location and provides access to entry, as needed.
• Responds to, and investigates, reports of suspicious activity. Assists with escorting discharged employees, trespassers, and other unwelcome visitors off property.
• Ensures the upmost confidentiality and professionalism with all matters involving residents, employees and others. Complies with HIPAA regulations and other federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
